3. Food (Waste): Innovations to support sustainable and resilient food systems focused on reducing or reusing wastes, to enhance, and improve circularity
We are looking for a consortium or project idea all fields - from biobased material development to food production to agricultural systems - who are in need of sustainability assessment partners. We want to approve our in-house developed methods of land use and biodiversity assessment that are being integrated by the EC in the standard framework of sustainability assesment "Environmental Footprint 3.1" and are therefore looking for research project that require a prove of sustainable practice and development within their consortium
Our department has 35 years of experience in life cycle and sustainability assessment. We have been deeply involved in the establishment of LCA as the standard method for environmental and climate footprinting. In recent years we have developed additional methods for new impact cathegories like land use (method LANCA) and biodiversity (method BioMAPS).
