Cell-Free Protein Synthesis, Development of Lysates, Screening Assays
Cooperation with Japan
We are developing cell-free lysates from different organisms for screening and prototyping applications and look for cooperation options where novel and optimized cell-free IVTT systems can contribute essential functionalities to screening and development tasks in recombinant protein engineering and screening for sustainable biotech applications. We are especially interested in aligning with, or extending the goals pursued in the "Development of ultra-parallelized protein printer system" project.
Fraunhofer IME (Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology) is one of the applied research institutes within the Fraunhofer‑Gesellschaft, focusing on molecular biotechnology and bio-based solutions for health, agriculture, environment, and industry, with strong emphasis on application‑oriented research and technology transfer. Its Department "Advanced Detection and Screening Solutions for Biomolecules" is focusing on cell-free IVTT technology as well as detection and screening applications.
