AI; Computational Methods; Process Optimization; Data-Driven Sustainability
Cooperation with Japan
We seek interdisciplinary collaborations in which computational and data-driven approaches contribute to a deeper understanding, support analysis, and enhance the robustness of biological systems.
Within joint projects, we contribute machine learning methods, quantitative analysis, and digital approaches for the analysis and optimization of complex systems in research and production environments.
The August-Wilhelm Scheer Institute for Digital Research is a non-profit research institute dedicated to advancing digital methods and computational approaches for complex systems in research and practice. The institute conducts application-oriented research that bridges foundational digital technology with real-world implementation, focusing on data structures, process understanding, and methodological innovation.
The institute develops and applies methods for process optimization, data management architectures, and AI-supported analytics, supporting efficiency and decision-making in all domains. A particular focus lies on digital approaches supporting sustainability, resource efficiency, and circular economy strategies, enabling transparent, data-driven analysis across processes and value networks.
