Cooperation with Queensland
We are seeking partners from Australia to establish a consortium focused on the topics of "Agriculture and Agri-Food" and "Advancing Knowledge and Tools." Our areas of expertise include innovative soil sensing technologies and autonomous plant health monitoring.
We are open to projects in which we could advance either our small, decomposable sensor nodes for soil monitoring or our AI-based plant stress detection using hyperspectral imaging. We believe these technological contributions could support the transformation of agri-food systems, making them more efficient, inclusive, resilient, and sustainable.
At Fraunhofer IMS, we specialize in cutting-edge research and development, focusing on high-performance sensors and AI. Our goal is to apply this expertise to the agri-food sector at every stage, from farm to fork.
We have successfully secured funding for a GEH project in the 2nd call (FarmScan), in which we develop biodegradable soil sensors for remote field analysis and provide farmers with AI-based decision support.
We have also proposed national projects for detecting biotic and abiotic stress factors in various crops and environments (open field, greenhouse, etc.) using robotics, hyperspectral imaging, and AI.
